Brian Gardner’s Revolution Just Gets Better
July 8, 2008 by madbadcat
Serendipity must be in the air.
Yesterday I commented to a colleague that I was going to have to bite the bullet and purchase the Developer’s Package from Brian Gardner.
At $399.95, it’s a big bite for me this month. My a/c died. This is Houston, in the summer. With no air conditioning. I spent two nights in a hotel, and two days watching an HVAC technician testing wires in my wall. The problem is sort of fixed- at least its running and cold but the intermittent issue regarding the fan motor still occurs but my apart ment is comfortable.
The day the a/c was fixed my iMac’s ethernet port died. Because its an iMac I cannot just replace the ethernet card. I have to replace the whole logic board. I will pause here and not get off on a rant- other than to add that the computer is 1 year and 24 days, I have to replace the logic board and I forgot to renew my Applecare. I’ll leave the rest of the story for another post.
<sigh>
Forgot to mention the part about the $400 printhead for my Epson. Yep- that’s another post as well.
So back to my point..
All I can say is that God, Buddha and Allah must have felt pity for me. It cannot be a coincidence that I HAPPENED to receive an email from Brian Gardner last night, offering to upgrade any theme’s Single-Use or Multiple-Use package to a Developer Package at an extraordinarily discounted price.
If you were lucky enough to get this email, celebrate. The Developer’s Package includes all nine of his themes, lifetime access to to updates and the right to use these themes as many times as the buyer wants.
For a website or wordpress designer, this can only be described as Christmas in July.
