Test your reaction time

Creative blocks suck.

Here’s something to take your mind off that ugly blank canvas and test your reaction time at the same time. The game involves clicking on the tranquilizer when a sheep tries to make a break for it.

Play Dart The Sheep.

I wonder who decided against shooting the sheep? Not that I am for hunting but it would seem a popular interative game choice.

My result? I am a bobbing bobcat.

Comic Book Creators: Go Big By Going Small!

iVerse, creators of the Comic Reader software, is looking for submissions from comic book hopefuls as well as established pros to post their comics to the iPhone/iPod Touch.  All of the work published through iVerse is 100% creator owned.  According to their submission guidelines, thee will NEVER ask the artists to give us a piece of your creations.

"Creators and Studios will be able to set the final prices on their titles, but we’re expecting most standard length titles to be around $.99, and we’re encouraging creators to give away the first issues of their titles to allow new readers who may not be familiar with comics, but are iPhone/iPod Touch owners, to give comics on the devices a try."

"With Digital Comics on the iPhone/iPod Touch we have access to a world wide audience, no printing costs or print run minimums, and it doesn’t take 3 months to get the title from in the catalog to on sale in a store. Each title will be featured as its own application in the App Store, and will be backed up onto the readers desktop or notebook computer each time they sync their device."

iVerse Media is currently discussing comic adaptions and new creations from a variety of industry professionals and studios, and as of today, is accepting submissions from new creators. Read their submission guidelines then call 254-366-0116 to set up and interview with  iVerse Media.

Inline Pull Quotes
You don’t have to define the pullquotes in the style sheet. The code is short and doesn’t take the many keystrokes. It’s just another paragraph in CSS.

…it depends on what we are highlighting or lowlighting…

…this will look like some of the pullquotes and styles we seeina magazinelayout…

Murderdrome, first digital comic made especially for iPhone/iPod, has been banned from the iTunes App Store as inappropriate.

Infurious Comics, the publishers of Murderdrome, are making a plea to Apple for the same age categories to their books/comic sections as in their games and music sections. "We have extensive support from the industry in this and would welcome a change in the current store in order to make sure that content is categorised appropriately, " says an Infurious spokesman.

Visit Infurious’ Website to add your comment about this ban. All comments will be forwarded to Apple in protest. Continue reading
